Islay single malt scotch whisky
Even bigger than Ar1, this is a peaty powerhouse loaded with flavour and character. The perfect marriage of ex-bourbon hogsheads with southern Islay spirit.

NoseEnticing and crystal clear, showing hot spices and menthol alongside coal-smoke phenols. Some faint bramble fruit slowly develops. Water brings forward cereal and toasty notes.
PalatePowerful. Hot and peppery again, with distinctive chilli heat at the front of the tongue. Some honey as well. Youthful leafiness, and very exuberant.
FinishLengthy. Massive. Warming and still very peppery. Water seems not to diminish its power.
Definitely wilder than the OB. Actually, I like Ar2 a little better than Ar1.
A classic young Ardbeg of the Glenmorangie period.
