Limited Edition

While similar to predecessor Lg1, Lg2 emphasises two very different sides of the distillery’s character – sweet fruit and rugged minerality. The result is an excellently austere dram, with less sherry influence than Lg1, but more south-coast peat smoke and fruit.

Tasting notes

  • Nose

    Peat smoke dominates the nose to start, with sweeter notes of white chocolate and sweetcorn. The smoke is medicinal and very dry, with hints of damp earth.

  • Palate

    The sweeter flavours from the nose come to the fore initially, before rich earth and smoky notes rise from the depths. Citrus then appears, with grapefruit and lemon becoming stronger with a drop of water.

  • Finish

    The smoke drifts away leaving a nutty fruitiness.
