The seventh in the Cl series is from a single cask from the mid-1990s, and is one of the most refreshing, focused bottlings of the entire range, with precise citrus and textured peatsmoke.

Tasting notes

  • Nose

Whistle clean, with zesty lemon and lime combining with sea-spray and oyster shells. A sharp intake of maritime air with a background note of fresh smoke.
  • Palate

Again, clean and refreshing, with a medicinal note, plenty of lemon zest and black pepper. Precise and poised, with light smoke and spices adding weight to the clean fruit.
  • Finish

The refreshing citrus stays strong to the end, while the wispy smoke gently fades.

Cl7 Reviews

  • Cl7 is classy stuff, with razor-sharp citrus cutting through the peat and smoke.

  • Medicinal notes, lots of coastal things. One of the most mouthwatering whiskies I’ve come across.
