Tasting notes

• Nose

  Notes of orange, Victorian sponge cake and fresh pastries dipped in honey, as if walking past a bakery first thing in the morning. Peppermint sweets in a pharmacy, followed by mojitos, cupcakes and smoky mezcal shots with lime wedges.

• Palate

  The initial smoke that was shy on the nose becomes more and more powerful. Jalapenos are roasted on a beach bonfire below a hillside farm. The palate is dark and bucolic with hints of cumin and salted vanilla biscuits. Rich and powerful.

• Finish

  Smoke lingers but leaves space for some rich toffee and vanilla flavours. The farmyard notes are still present, gradually losing some spiciness, as the whisky releases a wave of sweetness and honeycomb cake.
