Tasting notes

  • Nose

Notes of Orange Victorian sponge cake fresh pastries dipped in honey, as if walking past a bakery first thing in the morning. Peppermint sweets in a pharmacy with mojitos cupcakes followed by mezcal shots with lime.
  • Palate

The strong smoke that was really shy on the nose becomes more and more powerful on the palate. Jalapenos are roasted on the bonfire on the beach next to a farm distillery. The palate is darker and dirtier, cumin spray over salted vanilla biscuits. It is rich and powerful, just like the stormiest of the Islay days.
  • Finish

The strong smoke is lingering especially on the top of the palate that leaves space to some rich toffee and vanilla flavours. It is still very farmy but loses all the spiciness in the end. The whisky releases much more sweetness and honeycomb cake.
