This 2007 vintage Lagavulin, exclusive to Sweden, was aged in two barrels and bottled in 2018. Like coal smoke blended with orchard fruits and sweet desserts, this is young Islay at its best.

Tasting notes

  • Nose

    Sweet and intense with vanilla and salted caramel ice cream. Ashy smoke follows, whilst some brighter notes of aniseed and honeysuckle sit in the background.

  • Palate

    Rich and mouth-filling with big smoky flavours coming first, slowly giving way to gentle floral notes, fresh citrus, crisp green pears and a subtle, salty note.

  • Finish

    An initial hit of sooty smoke is taken over by citrus fruit and a long salty finish.
